On Tuesday, Windy Nook celebrated The European Day of Languages. For Upper Key Stage 2, it was a chance to learn more about the language, culture and history of France.
As part of the day, the children sampled French foods, learned about Bastille Day and wrote a letter to a French partner school (Mon Ecole in Toulouse). We even learned and performed a song in French – the very catchy “Allez Ola Ole!”
Everyone enjoyed the various activities. We look forward to receiving replies from our counterparts across Channel!
Merci et au revoir!
