Robins have had an extremely busy and enjoyable morning! We had a visit from ‘That History Bloke’ (who’s real name is Richard) who taught us all about George Stephenson. We thoroughly enjoyed making our own candle using bee’s wax. We found out that miners during George Stephenson’s time used to wear a similar candle on their hat to help them see while working in mines. We also made an engine using clay as this was what George Stephenson did as a child and perhaps inspired him for the future.
