During the last 2 weeks of term, nursery have been finding out about new life and Easter. We have looked at the life cycles of frogs and butterflies. We loved looking at lots of information books about life cycles and thought the story of The Crunching Munching Caterpillar was fabulous. Grape caterpillars were a big hit at the snack table and this week we have been tasting Hot Cross Buns. We have made playdough chicks, made and decorated playdough Easter biscuits. We caught ducks with fishing nets and read the number on the bottom. We also scooped out eggs from the water and counted how many we had in our bowl. This weeks most popular activity was looking at our daffodils and painting pictures of them using water colours. Today we had a special visitor who came tapping on the nursery window during storytime and left us Easter eggs to find in our nursery garden. The smiles say it all. What a fab time we’ve had.
