For World Book Day the children in the Ladybirds class came in wearing their pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers, carrying with them their favourite bed time story. This has been a day that the children have been very excited for and have been counting down the days since they found out about it. In the morning we shared our favourite stories with our teachers, we noticed how lots of the stories chosen had rhyming words in. In the afternoon the children went to get not one but TWO world book day books from the WHSmith team. There was also a competition in the reading corner where the children had to read the story, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ and draw four pictures of what the dog was doing in the story. Well done to the two class winners who won a £5 WHSmith voucher.
