As part of our topic ‘Life On the Tyne’, Lower Key Stage 2 embarked on a river cruise that showcased the many features of our local riverside.  Starting at the Millennium Bridge, the cruise meandered its way to the mouth of the Tyne and back.  The children enjoyed not only seeing the features of the river up close but were entertained by the commentary regarding the various landmarks.  Although it got somewhat choppy towards the mouth, there were no casualties of sea sickness.

Article 29: Your education should help you use and develop your talents and abilities. It should also help you learn to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.
