Today all of the classes in Upper Key Stage 2 had a wonderful time visiting the Ouseburn Valley.
At Seven Stories we visited a fantastic multi sensory exhibition about the work of the Felling Author David Almond. We had a fantastic time exploring the gallery and learning about what inspired his work. We ended this session by building a human flying machine. They were amazing!
We also took part in a workshop using his book “Skellig” as inspiration for our own characters which we developed during the session.
Article 29- Your education should help you learn to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.
We didn’t just visit Seven Stories though, we also went to Ouseburn Farm. We took part in a really interesting nature trail where we found out loads about bees and the other creatures that help plants to grow. We then helped the staff feed some of the animals and even heard the sheep by making human fences. What a fabulous day out!
