We have been reading the Scarecrow’s wedding by Julia Donaldson. Today we were thinking about how poor Betty felt when Harry disappeared just before their wedding! The children thought of words like anxious, devastated, apprehensive and furious! Heidi became Betty while the rest of the class thought of questions to ask her. She had to think hard and give reasons for her choices.
