Our teacher is Miss Hogg!

Our class philosophy is to work hard, encourage one another and have fun!







Important information:

Homework is given out on Fridays and returned the following Thursday. This will consist of maths, grammar and vocabulary.
Spellings and times table are expected to be practised regularly over the week. We take home a new set of spellings every Monday, to learn for our test each Friday.
P.E. is on a Tuesday – children are expected to have their kit to participate (P.E. kit will be taken home after use and not left on school premises).

Habitat explorers

Tulips have been learning all about habitats and discussed how many different habitats there are around our school. We went on a walk around the school grounds to see which animals and plants we could spot and where they were.  

Weather forecasters!

Tulips enjoyed creating and presenting their own weather forecasts on the climate in the tropics, as part of our Rainforests topic!

Bird watching!

Tulips loved the chance to create tally charts on birds spotted in the school grounds as part of the RSPB 2015 Bird Watch.

Completed cartouches!

This week Tulips completed their Egyptian cartouches. We had lots of fun making them and think you'll agree they look fantastic!  

Creating cartouches!

Compass directions

Tulips have been practising their knowledge of compass directions. We worked together in pairs to play the game Blast Off! to test us. We took turns to roll a dice. If the number was odd we moved South East. If we rolled an even number we had to move the counter South...

Finding co-ordinates

 Tulips had fun playing practical games to help them understand how to find co-ordinates.  

LKS2 Christmas Party
