Tulips Set Work 13.5.20

Hello Tulips,

Here are today’s home learning tasks. You have sent me some fantastic work this week, keep up the great work!

English

Spelling

Choose an activity from the spelling menu

https://windynookprimary.org/2020/04/spelling-menu-activities/

Your spelling list this week is words ending in tion: invention, opposition, injection, pollution, hesitation, question, completion, affection, continuation & attraction.

Reading

On purple mash read chapter 2 of Animal Boy and answer the 5 quiz questions. Open purple mash in two separate internet tabs to allow the quiz and chapter to be open at the same time, meaning children can re-read the chapter as they answer questions.

English

On purple mash complete the questions activity. Imagine you are Josh and write a list of questions that might be running through his head. Remember to use question marks for every question.

Maths

Conquer Maths

Practice your 7-12 times tables by completing the task set on conquer maths.

Log onto times tables rockstars every day and practice your times tables.

Topic

Science

Today you have an activity learning all about plants. Complete the BBC Bitesize lesson online by watching the videos and completing all the activities.

Then look for different plants in your garden or in the local area whilst on a walk and add them to the document set on purple mash. You have until Sunday to complete this activity so you may want to add plants seen on different days.
