Our PE day is Tuesday – children come into school wearing their PE kit on this day.
Homework – KS1 – Owls, Robins and Nightingales
Spellings are given out on Monday and expected to be practised regularly during the week. Spelling test is on Friday morning.

Materials Hunt
To find out more about our science topic for this half term we worked in teams and went on a materials hunt around our school grounds. In our classroom we have an ‘Investigation Station’ to look at materials using magnifying glasses.

When we came into school on Tuesday 9.12.14 there were Christmas decorations around the school grounds. We went out and about, using our detective specs, to make a tally chart of all the decorations we could find.

We had a Numicon event in Nightingales on Monday 8.12.14. We looked at lots of Numicon challenges and had to calculate the value of pictures and patterns. Some of them were very big add ups!

Animal Tails
Nightingales are learning about how to care for their pets. We have had a visit from Clare, a vet who works for the PDSA. We have a Windy Nook Vets in our role play area. You could bring a pet (toy one!) into school to go into the vets, a toy pet carrier, a photograph...
