To enhance our space topic in nursery we spent the day with Jamie, who is currently studying a masters in Astronautics and Space Engineering at Cranfield University. Jamie taught us some more facts about the planets in our Solar System, types of rockets and their parts (nose cone, body, fins, engines, boosters, fuel tanks) and what happens to them during flight and what satellites and probes do. Jamie also helped the children make some fantastic model rockets and satellites using recyclable materials.
