Robins repeating African patterns!

As part of Black History Month, the Robins have been learning about African cultures and traditions. We explored a range of African patters and textiles. We found out that African patters are strongly influenced by the environment and natural surroundings. We also found out some patterns represent cultural beliefs and history. The children did a fantastic job at using pencils and oil pastels to create a repeating pattern themselves.
