Our activities this week have linked to pumpkins and we focused on the story of Five Little Pumpkins. The children chose five pumpkin pictures,cut them out and glued them onto a five frame. We also produced some fantastic number work in our maths area, using five frames to make five using a variety of mathematical resources. We produced some fantastic paintings and collages of pumpkins too. To help strengthen or hands and wrists, we used mallets to hammer golf tees into pumpkins. During our Friday outdoor session we examined the inside of some pumpkins. We were fascinated by the seeds, pulp and flesh that we found.
