As the title states, we would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Griffin. Mr Griffin is one of our parents and works for The Sage Foundation. They have very kindly donated us some invaluable IT equipment, which will enhance the learning of our children.
Sage have donated 2 C Touch Screens and 11 laptops.
The C touch screens have been placed in a Year 1 and Reception classroom, which now means nearly every classroom in the school has a C Touch screen. This allows the children and staff to have access to a much greater set of more interactive teaching resources, enabling lessons to be more exciting and engaging.
We have allocated 8 of the laptops to pupils who have additional needs and use a laptop to record their work. This allows them to have greater success particularly when they are producing longer pieces of writing, which can be a struggle for them. The other 3 laptops have been allocated as admin / teacher laptops which allows staff to work from home or use them in school for meetings and training sessions rather than borrowing one from our class set of laptops. This has been of benefit to the whole school as there is now always a full set of laptops available for any class who needs to use them.
In the current economic climate, where resources in schools are stretched, we cannot thank Mr Griffin and The Sage Foundation for their donation. It means the money that would have been spent on updating the classrooms to have C Touch screens and the purchase of SEN laptops can be spent on other resources for the children in school.
Once again I would like to say a huge thank you for the donation and the after care that Mr Griffin has given us when we needed it.
