This half term in science, LKS2 have been learning all about solids, liquids and gases. The children have learned about the differences between the three different states of matter. They have learned how materials change between the three states of matter. The children then observed how different materials evaporate. To test this, they observed how quickly four different liquids (water, salt-water, milk and syrup) evaporated. The children found that water evaporated the most over the course of the week and that the syrup evaporated the least.
