We have had another wonderful week in nursery. We all made pancakes within our key worker groups in our cooking area. We began our session by reading the book, Mr Wolf’s Pancakes which we loved. We discussed the equipment and ingredients required to cook pancakes. We thoroughly enjoyed making the pancakes and of course eating them after choosing delicious toppings! We were also scientists as we examined and discussed the fact that the pancake batter was a liquid and after it was cooked was a solid. Some of us made Valentine’s Day cards and demonstrated our design and technology skills as we worked out where to fold the piece of card. We chose someone that is special to us and drew a picture of them on the front of our card. In maths we worked on preposition and used blankets to help us. We went on, under, beside, in front and behind our blankets. During our outdoor Friday session we played in our mud kitchen, swept up and composted leaves and weeded our plant pots.
