This week in nursery we started to make Easter cards. We folded some card by lining up the corners and made some finger prints on the front of the card using yellow paint. When the paint was dry we transformed them into Easter chicks by drawing eyes, beaks and legs onto them. We glued an insert inside of our cards and wrote our name. The results are fantastic. During our maths sessions we looked at photographs of items in the hall and at the outdoor areas in reception and nursery. We then found them and counted the total amount. As the weather was so beautiful on Tuesday afternoon we went for a walk around our school grounds and looked for signs of Spring. During our Friday outdoor session we scooped out some compost from our compost bin and used it to plant some sunflower seeds in small plant pots. We placed the plant pots inside our greenhouse to protect them. We are hoping to replant them into our nursery garden when we return after the Easter holidays if they have grown sufficiently.
