This half terms geography topic was comparing Windy Nook to Ghana in Africa. The children began the topic by locating the UK and Ghana on the map of the world as well as naming and locating the world’s 7 continents and five oceans. Next they compared human and physical features of Windy Nook to Ghana using aerial maps to discuss with partners what they could see. Finally, they compared hottest and coldest temperatures and the different seasons and how Ghana only has 2 seasons rainy and hot.
