This week, Year 4 were visited by the Tyne and Wear Fire Service. They shared discussions in an excellent assembly delivered by our visitor who is an experienced firefighter. He told the children about the dangers of overloading sockets, charging devices overnight and untidy kitchen appliances. He also discussed the science behind what a fire needs in order to burn: fuel, oxygen and heat.
The children asked great questions and showed off lots of impressive knowledge of their own.
We are very grateful to Tyne and Wear Fire Service for coming in and teaching us lots of important information.
