Our Year 5/6 football team delivered an excellent performance at the County 5-a-Side Finals in Darlington. The team remained unbeaten throughout the competition, winning two matches and drawing one, while showing fantastic determination, teamwork and resilience against some of the strongest schools in the county.
Following a brilliant day of football, the team secured a well-deserved runners-up finish, just missing out on first place on goals scored after ending level on goal difference. Every player represented Windy Nook superbly, displaying outstanding attitude, sportsmanship and enthusiasm from beginning to end. We are incredibly proud of their achievement and how they represented the school at the county finals.
