KS1 Trip to Washington Wetlands

KS1 had a fantastic day at Washington Wetlands!

The children spent time walking around the wetlands, using their spotter sheets to look for different birds. We visited the bird hides, where the children quietly watched wildlife in its natural habitat – just like real nature explorers!

One of the highlights of the day was pond dipping. The children loved discovering all the tiny creatures living in the water and learning how they are part of the wetland habitat.

During the trip, we also learned about plastic pollution and how it is affecting animals and their habitats. The children had some great discussions about how we can all help to protect our planet.

It was a lovely day full of learning, exploring and fun – and the children were amazing throughout!
