Trading Places: Geography in UKS2

This half term, Oaks, Elms and Beeches are studying our geography topic ‘Trading Places’. So far, we have learnt about how resources such as oil and water are distributed across the world. We learnt how these resources are used, why they are so important and learnt about resources being renewable or non-renewable. We have learnt about how disruption to the movement of these resources, such as is currently being seen with oil in the Strait of Hormuz, can affect our daily lives. We’ve discussed whether we believe resource distribution is fair and how access to vital resources could be made more equitable. All of this is helping to strengthen our understanding of connections between people and places across the world.
