This week, Lower Key Stage 2 devised silent plays made up entirely of positive gestures. Using hands, facial expressions and body language, each play told a story and gave a positive message e.g. help someone if they are hurt; wish people good luck for the future; or be kind and share games with others. The plays were rehearsed and then performed; each group was absolutely fantastic!
We linked this activity to gestures used in religion – such as namaste, the sign of the cross, and the 5 mudras of Buddhism.
