Today, Year 6 were delighted to welcome Clare and Jen from Virgin Money, who introduced the exciting Make £5 Grow project. Over the next few weeks, the children will take on the role of young entrepreneurs as they learn how to invest money and develop ideas to generate a profit. They explored key business concepts, including entrepreneurship, and discovered how successful businesses turn small investments into bigger opportunities.
In the coming weeks, Year 6 will learn about budgets, loans, costs and profits before planning, sourcing materials and creating products and games to sell at our Summer Fayre. Following the event, the children will repay their loan to Virgin Money and use the profits they have earned towards a well-deserved Year 6 treat.
