This week the children learned about minibeasts and their habitats. Our bug hotel needed renovating, so the children got busy transforming it into a five-star hotel for their tiny guests! The children collected materials from the school grounds, including sticks, leaves and bark. They then set about tidying and improving out bug hotel. The children thought about how to create cosy, safe spaces, helping them understand that minibeasts need dark, damp places to live. They showed great pride in their work and thoroughly enjoyed working together to upgrade the bug hotel. We will enjoy looking every day to see if any minibeasts have checked in to the hotel!
