Anne hangs up her mop!

After years of keeping Windy Nook sparkling, shining and looking its very best, Anne has decided it is finally time to hang up her mop, park the vacuum and retire!
Anne has spent her time at Windy Nook tackling more than her fair share of spills, splashes and muddy footprints that seem to appear in schools as if by magic. No challenge was ever too big, no mess was ever too daunting and no job was ever left unfinished. Like a true cleaning ninja, Anne would somehow appear exactly when she was needed, work her magic and leave everything gleaming once again.
But Anne’s contribution to our school has been about so much more than keeping it spotless. Her fantastic sense of fun, brilliant sense of humour and positive attitude have brightened the days of countless children and staff. She is one of those special people who always has a smile to share, a joke to tell and a willingness to help wherever needed.
Nothing has ever been too much trouble for Anne. Whether sweeping away a problem, dusting off a challenge or polishing up a difficult day with her kindness and good humour, she has been a treasured member of the Windy Nook family.
Whilst we’ll certainly miss her, we are delighted that Anne can now enjoy a well-deserved retirement and spend more time with her grandchildren. We know they will keep her busy, although we’re not convinced they’ll create quite as many spills as the children of Windy Nook have over the years!
On behalf of everyone at Windy Nook, thank you for helping to keep our school spotless, for always going the extra mile and for being such a valued friend and colleague. Your hard work has never gone unnoticed, and your presence will leave a gap that simply can’t be swept under the carpet.
Enjoy your retirement, Anne. May your days be dust-free, your mornings lie-in friendly and your time with your grandchildren absolutely sparkling.
