In our Science lessons, Year 5/6 have been learning about legal and illegal drugs and the effects they can have on our bodies. We have explored how medicines can help us when they are used correctly, while other substances can be harmful to our health and affect organs such as the brain, heart and lungs. We have also discussed why it is important to understand the facts about drugs, make safe choices and know when to seek help from a trusted adult.
