Our Year 5 and 6 children recently took part in an informative knife crime workshop led by a local police officer. The session helped pupils understand the laws surrounding different types of knives, why some people may carry knives as part of their job, and the serious consequences of carrying a knife unlawfully. Children also learned about peer pressure, personal responsibility, and the importance of making safe choices. The officer explained who young people can speak to or contact if they are worried about themselves or others. The children listened attentively throughout and impressed our visitor with the many thoughtful and relevant questions they asked.
