I can’t believe that’s Week 1 complete already! The children have all worked incredibly hard and have settled into the new school year brilliantly.
This week in English, we have been exploring the use of capital letters and full stops, as well as learning about the -ly suffix in spelling. In Maths, we have been looking at partitioning numbers up to 100.
Today, we had a fantastic afternoon completing our Science challenge. Working in groups, the children had to design and build a tall structure that was strong enough to hold a tennis ball. It was lovely to see them working so well as a team, sharing ideas, listening to one another and offering constructive feedback. There were some fantastic designs!
Just a little note for next week: PE is usually on a Monday, but next week it will be on Tuesday afternoon. This will give the children the opportunity to get to know Mr Peden a little more.
