Our KS1 children have been busy developing their musical skills through activities focused on pulse, rhythm, pitch, listening and composing. The children showed a steady beat, clapped back rhythm patterns and practised singing using the notes s and m. They also listened carefully to different instruments and challenged themselves to identify them by their unique sounds.

The children explored their creativity by composing their own sounds and thinking about how music can be organised in different ways. It was wonderful to see their concentration and growing confidence as they listened, performed and created music together. A particular highlight was how well the children kept a steady pulse throughout the session. Great job keeping the beat! We look forward to developing these musical skills even further in future lessons.
