Wear Red Day 2026

Today, Windy Nook was a sea of red as our wonderful pupils and staff came together to support Wear Red Day, organised by Show Racism the Red Card!

We proudly wore red to show our support for the campaign and to raise awareness of racism and the importance of challenging it wherever we see it. We know that everyone deserves to be treated fairly, with kindness and respect, whatever their background, skin colour, culture or beliefs.

Throughout the day, we talked about how we can all play our part in making our school and wider community places where everyone feels welcome, valued and included. We explored the importance of celebrating our differences, learning about other cultures and having the confidence to speak up when we see or hear something that is unfair or unkind.

These important messages are part of everyday life in our school and our dedication to our British values. We demonstrated mutual respect and tolerance by celebrating the things that make us unique, individual liberty by recognising everyone’s right to be themselves, and the rule of law by understanding that discrimination and racism are unacceptable.

A huge thank you to everyone who wore red and helped us share this important message. We are so proud of our school community for standing together and showing that even small actions can make a big difference!

Let’s keep celebrating our differences, challenging racism and spreading kindness – not just on Wear Red Day, but every day! ❤️
