This week, our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in a PSHE lesson focused on fire safety, staying safe around fireworks, and understanding the consequences of anti-social behaviour around Bonfire Night. Using the Quiz Quiz Trade Kagan structure, the children worked collaboratively to share ideas and discuss different safety situations. We were incredibly proud of the mature and thoughtful conversations that took place, as pupils showed a strong awareness of the risks associated with fire and fireworks. They also learned what to do in the event of a fire emergency and how their actions can help keep themselves, their families, and the wider community safe. It was wonderful to see the children engaging so positively with such an important topic.
