The children have been learning about Diwali this week. It is often celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs but can be celebrated by other religions too. It is sometimes called the ‘festival of light’. The children watching a video of the celebration where everyone was wearing lots of bright colours and a huge firework display. They have enjoyed learning how Diwali is celebrated by making diya lamps, rangoli patterns and mendhi hand patterns. The children made their own diya lamps to celebrate ‘The festival of light.
