Charlotte Osgerby from the Carers Trust Tyne & Wear came into school yesterday to talk about the vital role that young carers play. Young carers are aged 5-17 and look after someone, who they live with, who have a long term illness or disability. This could their mum, dad, brother, sister or a grandparent.
