This term, UKS2 worked on place value and the basic operations in maths before moving on to look at fractions. The children have recapped how to find equivalent fractions and have used this to support new learning in adding and subtracting fractions; multiplying and diving fractions by integers; finding fractions of amounts; and converting between improper fractions and mixed numbers. They have all tackled some tricky word problems too and their reasoning and problem solving skills have also been put to the test. Well done UKS2!
