This week the children explored colour mixing and were often amazed by the surprising new colours they created. They made thoughtful predictions, tested ideas, and used vocabulary such as “lighter”, “darker”, and “shade”. We were especially proud of the independence they showed, choosing their own resources, trying out different combinations, and talking confidently about what they noticed. The children even washed up their mixing pots and brushes when they were finished. Their creativity and curiosity helped them deepen their understanding of how colours can change and blend. It has been amazing to watch their sense of discovery about colour throughout the week.
