As part of our D&T topic, Lower Key Stage 2 have been studying seasonality of food. Our food technology project will see us designing, making and evaluating sandwiches. To make an informed choice of ingredients, children learned more about which meats, fish, fruit, vegetables etc. are in season during different times of the year. We learned about seasonality often making food cheaper to buy, fresher to eat and less harmful to the environment.
