Logo Designers in Oaks-Article 13: You have the right to find out things and share what you think with others, by talking, drawing, writing or in any other way unless it harms or offends other people.

This week we started our Yummy Christmas topic and in computing we looked at how a graphic designer goes about designing a product logo.

The very first thing that we did was a logos quiz to see how many different product logos we recognised. We were superb at this and got almost all of them right! How would you do?

We followed this by watching a graphic designer on a video talk through the process of designing a logo for a fizzy drink. We all thought that this was really interesting and that it was great to see all trial and error before the final result. We talked about how she showed resilience when her first design didn’t turn out how she wanted it to and how she got herself unstuck.

Then in groups we thought showered as many words to do with biscuits as we could (this made us pretty hungry!) After that, using the lap tops we experimented with different fonts before changing the colours and adding illustrations. It was really interesting to see how are logos changed over time.
