Yesterday, 9 of Windy Nook’s finest footballers in Year 4 and 5 travelled down to South Street Primary for the annual 6 a side football competition. The team had to play 2 other teams to decide if we would bring the trophy home for the 2nd year running. The first match against Harlow Green was a challenge but we sailed to a 3-2 victory. A quick 2 minute water break saw the children back on for their final game that they won an outstanding 5-0! The children all received winners medals and the trophy is back pride of place in our trophy cabinet.
The children played excellently as a team and showed great sportsmanship. A huge thank you to the parents for their support (and coaching!)
