In Tulips we have been reading the book Escape from Pompeii. We worked with our partners to order the story and identify key details and created amazing story maps. The children will use these maps when retelling the story from a different character’s perspective next week. Whilst reading the story children have learned lots of facts about life in ancient Rome as well as the events in Pompeii when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD.
