Remembrance Day in Owls

This week the children have been learning about why we wear a poppy and the importance of Remembrance Day. The children enjoyed sharing information of family members that had been in the war and how on Sunday some of them had visited memorials and watched parades to celebrate. The children then recorded how we celebrate Remembrance Day each year on the 11th day of the 11th month. This day is special because we remember those soldiers who were killed at war.
