This week in Geography Owls having been looking at comparing Windy Nook with Ghana in Africa. They used DigiMap to look at maps of the two locations. They also used the zoom in and zoom out features to investigate features of both and then highlighted key features to compare. They identified that Windy Nook had more green areas, trees and grass as well as two schools and two churches. When looking at Ghana they noticed it had very little green areas, no primary schools, two petrol stations and two universities. We then looked at comparing the temperatures of both locations. They used the internet to google the temperatures and then recorded their findings in a bar chart. We then discussed the hottest months of the year in Windy Nook and the coldest in Ghana.
