This week, Lower Key Stage Two once again welcomed Warburton’s into school. Our visitor delivered a fantastic, informative and active workshop (plus lots of free bread) to the children of Tulips and Snowdrops.
Gail taught us a lot about the history of the company, as well as how to make a healthy sandwich. The two classes both chose their own ingredients, based on what food groups they wanted to include in their meal. This really helped with our scientific learning and was a great compliment to our D&T topic: ‘Food Glorious Food.’
The children also learned a lot about food waste and to reduce it.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to Gail from Warburton’s; everyone learned a lot.
