As UKS2 will be looking at space as our topic next term, we were lucky enough to have a visit from Jamie – Miss Clough’s son – today who told us all about space, the solar system and different types of rockets. Jamie is currently studying a masters in Astronautics and Space Engineering at Cranfield University and was a fountain of knowledge, answering some really difficult questions from an enthusiastic year 5/6. He inspired the children to look outside of the subjects in school to what they could become when they are older. We are hoping to see him again next term when we begin our topic – we can’t wait!
