Oaks and Elms have been working on the place value of decimals this week and have found partitioning them in different ways a bit tricky so today we got the place value counters out and worked on physically exchanging tenths, hundredths and thousandths to make the same value. They agreed they now have a much better understanding of how to partition in a variety of ways. Oaks particularly enjoyed drawing on the tables with their whiteboard pens, but don’t worry, they cleaned it off afterwards!
