Phase 2 –

• Reread the words – get pet pen men neck peg. Adult to say the sentence “A cap on a peg” children to write it.
Phase 3 –

• Write words out for your child to blend chip, rich, chill, much, shop, fish, chim, nich, chig, fich, lish. (some words are nonsense words.) Adult to say the sentence “The chicken got a chill.” Child to write it.

• Adult to say the sentence “Can I plan a trip to the moon?”. Child to write it.

MATHS: (20 mins) Daily count up to a given number (up to 30). Count back from 20. Quick fire 1 more than 1 less than. (1 more than 3, 1 less than 6.)
• Use the numbers in the pack to order number. Can your child order the numbers from 1-10 or 1-20.
• Use numicon cards mixed up and face down. Ask chn to pick two at random. Can they do simple subtraction. How many will there be left? Use objects or fingers to support.
• Use the pompoms in your pack. How many are there? Can you write that number. Can you take two handfuls. Using part, part, whole method can you do simple addition. How many are there altogether?
