I hope you have all had a fantastic Easter holidays and have enjoyed eating lots of chocolate! I have some new activities for you all to complete this week and I can’t wait to read your work!
English
Reading – today for reading I have set a chapter for you all to read on purple mash from the book Alien Hotel. Once you have read the chapter answer the 5 questions, also set as a 2do on purple mash.
Spelling – this week I would like you to practice your year 3/4 common exception words. Follow the link below and then click the year 3/4 option and then click on tricky words. Choose the set of words you find the hardest to spell and practice using look/cover/write/check. You can practice more than one set of words.

Writing – later this week you will be writing a diary entry. To help plan for this in your red workbook I would like you to write a list of some different activities you have completed over the Easter holidays. This might be things like reading a book, going for a walk, playing a game, watching YouTube, playing in the garden. Use bullet points to organise your list. You will be using this list tomorrow.
Maths
On purple mash I have set an activity where you must turn over cards and match 2D shapes and their names. The aim is to complete the activity as fast as possible. You will have to use your shape knowledge and memory skills.
On Times Tables Rockstars I would like you to complete studios this week and see if you can improve the speed of your answers. You need to answer the questions correctly as quickly as you can.
Topic
On purple mash I have set you a task called Easter story, you need to watch the video attached and then retell the story. There is a second task where you are designing an Easter egg using symmetry.
You have until Sunday to complete these activities. You will be set new maths and English tasks every day and a new topic activity on Wednesday.
