This year’s Gateshead Dance Festival was unfortunately cancelled because of the corona virus pandemic. However, to make sure people are still dancing and are up on their feet and active Gateshead School Sports Partnership have come up with a virtual event called Dance Unite. Next week from Monday, they will be posting video tutorials of a step by step routine that children can learn in their homes. There will then be a final performance of the full dance on Friday 15th May. Many schools within Gateshead will be getting involved and we would love for some of our talented children to get involved too. Further information is available in the flyer below and you can watch a launch video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhRpLC22aaI&list=PL8sjgfNYFn6A-afci0ooJjlWaC6IvfmFF&index=3&t=0s.
If your child chooses to complete the dance routine, please take a picture of them doing it and send it to our school email.
Please send in any photographs of your child performing the dance to the following email address:
windynookprimaryschool@gateshead.gov.uk
We will then upload them all to the website and showcase all your amazing dancing! We are looking to getting as many as possible, so please try and find some time to have a go over the next day or two!
Please remember that it’s parents/carers who need to send in the photographs and with permission as well.
