Article 24: You have the right to the best health care possible, safe water to drink, nutritious food, a clean and safe environment, and information to help you stay well.
Article 28: You have the right to a good quality education. You should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level you can.
LITERACY: Read my mini beast clue, can you tell what it is?
“It has no arms, legs or eyes, it breathes through it’s skin. It can eat up to its own body weight each day and it wriggles.” Can you guess what it was?
It was…. a worm! Think of some clues to describe 2 mini beasts and write them down. For example, if you were writing clues about a bee you might write, “It has a black and yellow body, it can buzz, it makes honey.”
Try and write your sentences as independently as possible, sounding out your words using all of the phonic skills you have learnt, and don’t forget to include finger spaces! Then, read your clues to someone in your family and see if they can guess what creature it is. We’d love to see some photographs of your writing, so don’t forget to post a picture on Tapestry!
Parent tips: Try and sit your child at a table to write. Use a pencil. Remember all children need to be able to write 3 letter words. Other words may be spelt phonetically (therefore not correct). If it is a good attempt, for example, porridge = porij, then try to avoid correcting. This term we are really pushing handwriting and expect children to use their best writing, using tall letter, short letters and try to sit letter on the line.

Mathematics:
(20 mins) Daily – Count reliably with numbers from one to 20 (forwards and backwards). Quick fire 1 more than 1 less than. (1 more than 3, 1 less than 6.)
