This week’s whole school home learning challenge brings together cooking and computing!
Computational thinking skills are very important to support our children’s learning in computing, and a great way to develop these is to think of how we use algorithms in our day-to-day lives. Following, adapting and correcting recipes to suit us is a great way to do this!
With this in mind, our challenge to you this week is to rustle up something delicious! It can be any recipe of your choice, whether an old favourite or something new. A great way to reinforce the computational thinking skills is to photograph the stages of the recipe, mix up the steps then re-order, thinking about why we have to do things in the order we do.
Here are some links for inspiration (including recipes without flour):

Please send in any photographs of you with your delicious creations as well as recipes to the following email address:
windynookprimaryschool@gateshead.gov.uk
We will then upload them all to the website and showcase all your amazing work! We are looking to getting as many as possible, so please try and find some time to have a go over the next week!
Please remember parents/carers need to give permission and email the photographs.
Closing date is Monday 18th May.
We hope you’re all well and are looking forward to seeing you again!
Miss Clough and Mrs Hope
